Event Description

The UKRSA HQ in Norwich will be the venue for the next Certified Stringer and Master Racquet Technician Preparation Course. Cost is £150 for a busy day of looking at what the CS and MRT tests involve. We will spend the morning checking out whats needed on the practical side of things and in the afternoon we will review that work and also examine the Theory Paper which deals with understanding the latest manufacturers technologies plus the technical aspects of the strings and rackets.
The secret of achieving a pass at either Certified Stringer or Master Racquet Technician is to not only do the racket servicing skills consistently very well but to also understand WHY things are done a certain way. Superb facilities in the UEA Sportspark which is on the University of East Anglia campus, free car parking, great food and just outside the City Centre of Norwich. This prep course is aimed at experienced stringers wishing to prepare themselves for achieving this very prestigious certification. The actual test will follow two months later at the same venue on Sunday 24th June and I will be the Tester. So you will have two months to go back home and practise on any weak parts of your stringing work. USRSA membership will be needed for the Test and details will be given on the Prep Course. You may wish to join now anyway, so do drop me a message and I will send you the details for doing that. The UKRSA works closely with the USRSA as its the worlds leading stringing association and sets the standards for all other countries.
There is a limit of 10 course places, so if you wish to attend then please email me on asap. I will then send you the payment details.
Those wishing to bring along their own machine may do so as it may be possible to use it on the test later on. No drop weight machines.
All you need is pen and paper, plus your own tools if you wish. I will provide all of the materials needed. We will be using manual and elctronic machines.
